Transparency Report

Our commitment to openness, safety, and accountability at Pech Pechoo

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

We believe a thriving events community is built on trust. This transparency report outlines how Pech Pechoo operates, safeguards user data, moderates content, and partners with organisers. It complements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service by sharing the governance practices that keep our platform reliable and fair.

1. Our Mission and Platform Scope

Pech Pechoo exists to make discovering, organising, and attending cultural events simple. We operate as a discovery and review platform—not a ticketing agent. We connect event organisers, artists, and audiences around Australia by providing verified listings, reviews, and communication tools.

2. Governance and Ownership

Pech Pechoo is operated by a dedicated team headquartered in Australia. Strategic decisions are led by our founding team, while day-to-day operations are run by product, engineering, and community support squads. We regularly review our governance practices to ensure compliance with Australian regulations.

3. Data Practices and Privacy Alignment

All handling of personal data follows the commitments outlined in our Privacy Policy. We collect only the information needed to deliver core features, encrypt personal data in transit and at rest, and limit internal access based on role. We never sell personal data and only share it when required to provide services or comply with the law.

4. Safety, Moderation, and Review Integrity

Community safety is maintained through automated monitoring, human moderation, and user reporting tools. Reviews are tied to verified profiles and can be flagged for investigation. We remove content that violates our Community Guidelines and provide organisers with tools to respond to feedback transparently.

5. Event Listing Standards

Events appearing on Pech Pechoo must provide accurate dates, locations, pricing, and organiser contact details. Listings are reviewed before publication, and we audit them periodically. Organisers agree to promptly update cancellations or material changes to keep attendees informed.

6. Pricing, Fees, and Revenue

Access to Pech Pechoo is free for attendees. We generate revenue through organiser subscriptions, promotional placements, and future premium insights. Any paid placements are clearly labelled as “Promoted” so users can distinguish them from organic recommendations.

7. Accessibility and Inclusion Commitments

We are actively improving the accessibility of our web experience, including keyboard navigation, screen-reader labelling, and text contrast. Event profiles encourage organisers to disclose accessibility accommodations so attendees can make informed decisions.

8. Incident Reporting and Response

We maintain dedicated channels for reporting safety concerns, fraudulent listings, or technical incidents. Reports are triaged within one business day and prioritised based on risk. When an incident affects users, we communicate updates via email and in-app notifications.

9. Transparency Metrics

Each quarter we publish anonymised snapshots on the number of active events, organiser compliance rates, moderation actions taken, and average response times to critical reports. These metrics help the community hold us accountable to our standards.

10. Contact and Feedback
