What makes a great review?
Practical tips to write reviews that help other attendees and the event community.
Last Updated: August 21, 20261. Be Specific
Mention concrete details: sound quality, lighting, organisation, accessibility, crowd behaviour, and timing. Specifics help others decide if the event is right for them.
2. Base It On Your Experience
Only write about what you personally experienced. Avoid repeating rumours, second-hand stories, or unverified claims.
3. Balance Positives and Negatives
If something went well, say so. If something could be improved, explain what and why. Balanced reviews are more credible and helpful.
4. Be Respectful
Do not use abusive, hateful or discriminatory language. Focus on behaviours and facts rather than personal attacks.
5. Avoid Personal Data
Do not include phone numbers, email addresses, or other people's private information in your review.
6. Keep It Legal
Do not make accusations of criminal behaviour or fraud unless you have clear, verifiable evidence. Such claims can be defamatory.
7. Use Clear Language
Write in short paragraphs, use headings when helpful, and proofread for clarity. A well-structured review is easier to scan.
8. Helpful Extras
Optional: include tips like best arrival time, transport/parking advice, accessibility notes, or whether seats are available. These practical notes help other attendees.
9. Update If Needed
If your opinion changes (for example the organiser resolves an issue), edit your review to reflect the current situation.
10. Report Serious Issues
If you encounter safety concerns, harassment, or illegal activity, report it using the platform tools and contact organisers or authorities as appropriate.
